Rooibos

Description

A hugely popular caffeine-free tea alternative, rooibos is harvested and processed from the “red bush” plant. It is known for its rich red color, smooth taste, and woodsy sweetness. Often used as a base for blends, it is sweet enough to stand alone and since it does not dilute with the addition of milk or sugar. Sometimes it is even served as a creamy dessert beverage. Rooibos is enjoyed in many of the Earth’s warmer regions since it can be enjoyed both hot or cold. In fact, some say its flavor is enhanced when cold. This Mei-Leaf rooibos is a “small cut” variety, making it excellent for steeping.

• Steep Time: 5-7 minutes; longer steep times bring out fuller flavor
